Matthew Irving Mazur’s practice encompasses a broad range of commercial, civil litigation and appeals with an emphasis on real estate, title, mortgage, and construction contract matters. This compliments the transactional real estate aspects of the firm’s practice by providing our clients with an in-house litigation alternative, when negotiations fail.
Mr. Mazur graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo cum laude and received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Buffalo, School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in New York State and New Jersey and, subsequently, to the U.S. District, NDNY.
After developing a solo real estate practice on Long Island, Mr. Mazur relocated to the Capital District, as an Attorney with the New York State Office of Mental, working on tax-exempt bond financing, legislation and contracts. He was appointed an Oral Examiner for State Appraisal by the Office of Civil Service and later as a Legislative Aide to Governor Mario Cuomo. Subsequently, he served as a New York State Assistant Attorney General in the Oil Spill Unit where he honed litigation and trial skills.
Since joining Ianniello Anderson, P.C. in 1999, Mr. Mazur has tried cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in administrative hearings, mediation, and private arbitration and in State and Federal Courts in trial litigation and appeals. He has tried cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in administrative hearings, mediation, and private arbitration and in State and Federal Courts. Found. v Boff, 110 AD3d 1326, 1326 [3d Dept 2013]; Crystalline HO, Inc. v Orminski, 105 F Supp 2d 3 [NDNY 2000]; Greene v Hayes, 30 AD3d 808 [3d Dept 2006]; and Thibodeau v Martin, 119 AD3d 1015 [3d Dept 2014].
